Cindermice Stitch-Along 2015

Anybody who follows me on Instagram will have seen some random little mice popping up among my usual vintage images.
These little mice are part of the Cindermice Stitch-Along thought up by the fantastic Sophie from What Delilah Did in collaboration with Nicole from CloudCraft (the online craft emporium).

I originally saw Cindermouse advertised in the Mollie Makes magazine and  immediately joined the stitch along because she is so adorable.

Everything I needed arrived in these little pre prepared packs, with lots of bits and bobs included inside, to complete the project.
They were packed so cleverly inside a package that fit through my letterbox perfectly- so no trips to the sorting office, Hooray!!!

I enjoyed creating these little mice so much that I had to photograph them all straight away and enter the Instagram  competition for the best mice pictures.

I absolutely love crafts of any kind, but this project was so special. You could tell how much thought and love want in to their design.
The quality of all the materials was superb, there is nothing better than the feel of top quality craft supplies- felt especially (thank you CloudCraft).

The entire project was broken down into small sections by fantastic videos that you were given the links to.
It is so much easier to have someone show you what to do rather than try and explain it in writing.
I feel even someone who was new to crafting would have felt supported and confident to complete this project with Sophie's gentle guidance.

The setting of these pictures is the Dolce and Gabanna store.
The naughty little mice must have broken in during the night and photographed themselves, I have no other explanation!!

I was amazed that they had Cinderella's glass slippers, aren't they beautiful!

This little dress was not included in the kit but I enjoyed the project so much I just kept going. I wanted to recreate the dress from the Disney cartoon that the mice and birds altered for Cinderella, because it was my favourite dress as a child, better than even the blue ball gown I always thought.
I even made a hanger out of a paper clip- soo small!

Too cute- hung up on the rail with the Dolce and Gabbana collection.
I was lucky to find a matching colour collection.

I really fancy this dress in full size for myself now!

To my total surprise I actually won the Instagram photo competition with this series of images.
Everyone who entered did an incredible job and put so much effort into these little creatures.
This is the first thing I have ever won and I feel so honoured!
But really I just loved this whole project so much!!!

I would like to take this opportunity to also thank my very dear friend and colleague Iwona who was kind enough to help me take the beautiful photos of my mice.
Thank you Iwona for all your help and for being a kind and supportive friend.

I had taken all of my Dolce and Gabbana images before I had even received the kit for the Fairy Godmouse, I didn't want her to feel left out so I thought I had better do another little series including her as well.

As a little joke I left my display out in my Dads room for him to see in the morning. I don't think he quite knew how to react to it. Made me laugh though.

One very handsome prince!

A magical fairy!

All lined up neatly for your inspection!

For my prize I received such a sweet and thoughtful collection of crafting presents!

The best prize of all is this incredible hand made trophy made by Sophie.
She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and I will cherish her always!

So much crafting goodness!!!

Lots to keep idle hands busy!!

I have started on the What Delilah Did cushion cover already.
It is so easy and therapeutic at the end of a long day.

I have my pretty trophy currently in pride of place on my mantle piece as a little sewing mascot.

I hope there is another crafting sew along next year, it made the festive season full of excitement and expectation as it should be!

Thank you Sophie and Nicole, in fact a million thank yous for this special project, that will be pulled out and displayed every Christmas.
And also for the generous prizes I recieved.

I hope everyone enjoyed this post and maybe even inspired someone to do a little crafting!

Just in case anyone is interested the Cindermice patterns are available on the What Delilah Did website.

P.S. This is not a sponsored post, I paid for my kit just like everybody else. I just felt that such a special project deserved an extra special mention from one crafty girl to another!!
